In this video, speaker Paul Sloane says at keynote speaker Kevin Kelly’s Sell Your Story conference that It is crucial to reassess assumptions every time one approaches a problem in any aspect of life. Bringing pre-existing assumptions can limit the ability to see new possibilities. Unfortunately, the more experienced and older one becomes, the tendency to deploy more assumptions increases. This is a common occurrence that happens frequently.
Paul shares an example on how assumptions can cloud our judgment, as we often look for complex solutions when a straightforward one might be right in front of us. This happens consistently, and it’s essential to be aware of these assumptions to avoid overlooking simpler and more effective solutions.
