Leadership Ability
“I start with the premise that the function of Leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers.” Ralph Nader
The New Leader develops Leaders at all levels of the organisation, allowing people to tap into their innate potential and leverage for many their Leadership ability.
Be it on the pitch, or in the house as a parent, everyone plays the Leadership role at some time of their life - most executing this role with effortless ease.
A corporate culture that can nurture this Leadership undertone is a winning culture.

Lead or follow?
Recently reviewed an interesting experiment conducted by Robery Cialdini of Arizona State University. The team were looking at ways at encouraging hotel guests to recycle their towels during their trip.
Guests were given one of three reasons why they should chose to recyle on a card placed in their room:
1. For the sake of the environment.
2. For the sake of future generations.
3. Because the majority of guests did so.
The later, a form of peer pressure turned out to be the most successful strategy - 30% more effective than the other options.

Rapport Insight
“Two monologues don’t make a dialogue.” This quote was shared with me recently by my South Asia colleague, Peter Rolston.
Those attempting to develop their Leadership ability or entreprenuerial flair should be very aware that monologues and/or presentations dont work in the contact of building rapport.
We need to move from monologue to dialogue, and from presentations to conversations.
Exercise observe your own communication patterns today - are you listening to people or just waiting to continue your presentation?

Leadership Analysis
First hours….then minutes…..then seconds….now milliseconds.
What am I referring to?
This is the amount of time it takes us to analyse someone under the following headings: Trustworthiness, Aggressiveness, Attractiveness, Likeability and Competence.
This is according to research conducted by Willis and Todorov in Princeton University.
And, as reported in earlier research by Rosenthal, people don’t tend to change their opinion even if they are given longer to look.
So how do we ensure that these microencounters are positive?
The Leadership Secret - work on yourself.
The more you work on yourself, the more you will project a positive position without even opening your mouth.
Whne you consider that both your employees and customers are judging you in milliseconds, it shows how important it is that you and your team are fully turned on to your mission and values. With no time to act, who you truly are will shine out at them like a light.

Leadership Training
One of the many things I have found from my twenty years in business is that the best people are the most accessible.
If you approach these people with positive intent, passion and professionalism, in the main most of these Leaders, Entrepreneurs, Teachers will afford you some time.
Few will be like the General who was fighting a battle with bow and arrows who dismissed the machine gun salesman with the following comment:
“Can’t you see I’m busy fighting a war!”
Leaders are always open minded, willing to learn, indeed passionate about learning and an opportunity to acquire new understandings, knowledge is too much of an opportunity to dismiss.
On the other side to excel in your chosen field through the Laws of attraction, you must surround yourself with mentors, create a supermind alliance that will propel you on your journey.
Ask and you shall receive, listen and you will learn, integrate and you will excel!
